💡 How Storage Works

Choose where to save your version data. File-based storage lets you work across browsers and back up your data easily.

🌐 Browser Storage (Default)

Data saved in your browser. Fast but limited to this browser. ~5-10MB limit.

💾 File-Based Storage

Save/load data files manually. Works across browsers. Great for backups. Store anywhere on your computer.

☁️ Google Drive Sync (Coming Soon)

Auto-sync to Google Drive. Access from anywhere. Requires Google account.

☁️ iCloud Drive (Mac/Windows)

Save to your iCloud Drive folder. Perfect for Mac/iOS/Windows users with iCloud installed. Just choose your iCloud Drive folder when saving.

📝 File-Based Storage Tips

Recommended: Create a dedicated folder (e.g., "VersionManager") in your Documents or iCloud Drive.

Auto-save: Click "Save to File" regularly or before closing your browser.

For iCloud:

Mac: ~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs or just select "iCloud Drive" in the file picker
Windows: %USERPROFILE%\iCloudDrive or select "iCloud Drive" in the file picker

📂 Bulk Folder Import

Drag & Drop: Drag entire folders onto the upload area to import all files at once.

Select Folder: Click "Select Folder" button to browse for a project folder.

Smart filtering: Automatically skips:

Dependencies (node_modules, vendor, packages)
Build outputs (dist, build, out, .next, public/build)
Compiled/minified files (*.min.js, *.min.css, hashed bundles)
Version control (.git, .svn)
IDE files (.vscode, .idea)
Cache/temp folders
Lock files (package-lock.json, yarn.lock, etc.)
Log files and coverage reports

Preserve structure: File paths are preserved in version notes.

Custom Filter Patterns (optional)

Add custom patterns to skip during bulk import. Each pattern on a new line. Examples: "/test/", ".bak", "_backup", "screenshot"

Auto-load last project on startup

When enabled, the app will automatically load your last opened project when you visit the page. When disabled, you'll start with a blank page.
